National Geographic Article on Shamanism

My teammate recently emailed me:
"While meandering around the National Geographic website this evening I ran into an interesting little story. Actually, it is a pretty lengthy story, published in the December 2012 issue, on shamanism in north central Asia, centering heavily on Mongolia. The story itself is a very informative yet light-hearted and friendly portrayal of shamans and their practices, (with one UB-based shaman unquestioningly quoted by the author as saying that JC himself used shamanistic practices), but the photos that accompany it, taken by Carolyn Drake, do more than hint at the darker side of these beliefs."
